About JamrAAk

The idea for the JamrAAk Creole Translator was conceived in 2013 by Amrhe Minott. After witnessing a growing erosion of Jamaica's cultural identity, Amrhe set out on a mission to restore Jamaican cultural unity through technology. Over the course of six years, Amrhe utilized his knowledge in coding and app development to generate an app of his own. The mission of the JamrAAk Creole Translator is to increase the global exposure of Jamaican culture. Through engaging and cutting-edge technologies, Amrhe hopes to strengthen the cultural ties within the local Jamaican and foreign diaspora.

Vision

At JamrAAk, my vision is to share the vibrant tapestry of Jamaica's culture with the world. I believe that by learning the Jamaican Creole language, we can help people of Jamaican descent, whether first, second, or further generations, reconnect with their roots and embrace the richness of their heritage. My mission is to foster cultural connections and celebrate the diversity that makes Jamaica so unique.

About

My name is Amrhe S. Minott

I would consider myself to be a dedicated computer scientist with a passion for coding, web development, and mobile application development. I was born and raised in Jamaica, and needless to say, I love my culture and my family. Aside from all that, I would consider myself to be an avid chess player as I do love the challenge and strategy that the game provides. In addition, I possess an array of coding skills, including expertise in React, React Native, Java, and Python. With these skills, I am able to offer full-stack web development services to clients or companies that I work for.
